  1. 1775-1856. English Neo-Classical sculptor. He
  2. studied under Antonio Canova in Rome and was
  3. elected to the Royal Academy, London in 1811,
  4. becoming a professor there from 1827 to 1854.
  5. His works include monuments in Westminster
  6. Abbey and in St Paul's Cathedral, and the
  7. Achilles statue in Hyde Park, all in London.
